Azmaya is a collective of designers and artisans, renowned for their dedication to ensuring timeless Japanese crafts are kept alive. This handcrafted kyusu teapot is a stylish way to brew loose-leaf tea, particularly green tea. Tokoname pottery dates back to the 12th century and is recognised by its thin walls and subtle detailing. The ‘unglazed’ clay interior absorbs more flavour and imparts it into future brews for a great cup of tea.
Kyusu teapots feature a side-handle known as yokode. They were developed for preparing tea while seated on tatami mats.
