Azmaya’s handcrafted Donabe, a traditional multipurpose earthenware pot, is a Japanese-style casserole dish. It has superior heat retention and can be used on hobs making it ideal for slow-cooking foods like stew, soup, and rice dishes. Handcrafted using locally sourced clay and bidoro glaze in the city of Iga, the pebbles in the clay cause its characteristic rough and rugged texture. These pots are so hardy that they’ll provide years of frequent use.
Nabe means “hot pot” – a beloved family meal in Japanese households. The Ofuku Donabe pot is a modern version of the traditional Donabe pot used as a dining table centrepiece, perfect for gatherings of friends and family.
